Marduk @ Sin-City

\r\nIt’s not a typical Sunday and not a typical afternoon at all. Today, the Sin City Club is about to have a concert full of sin. Forget the Sunday churching and all your prayers because tonight we are about to see a Marduk concert with Vader, Mastic Scum and Sinate supporting them.

\r\nTime was around 19.30 when people started to gather outside the club. Fans from all Metal zones were approaching the club. The truth is that the specific bands are covering a big part of the Metal scene and you could see Blacksters, Deathsters but also Thrashers, Grindcore and Metalcore freaks, all together.
\r\n
\r\nOne hour after and the club was almost full. Sin City’s space was smaller because at the left side of the stage a big black cloth was used to hold a space as a backstage area. People were buying stuff from the bands, consuming beers, talking and smoking.

\r\nTime was 20.30 when the first band appeared on stage. Sinate from New Zealand opened the concert with people cheering them. The band played for about 45 minutes with a lot of tense and power. They played many songs from their previous albums and their new guitarist
\r\nwas perfect. They played also new stuff from the upcoming album with great respond from the audience. The mosh pit was not very tense and there were many headbangers and many more amateur and professional photographers pushing each other. The sound was good and the band managed to finish their setlist with no problems. \r\n

\r\nMASTIC SCUM
\r\n
\r\nThe second band was ready to hit the stage. Time was now about 21.10 when they showed up on stage. Mastic Scum started their show and the audience responded with shouts, screams and more people gathering now to the front. These Austrian Death/Grindcore freaks showed their power with their music. Great drumming, nice guitars and bass. The sound could be better but Mastic Scum managed to play great and finished their setlist after about 45 minutes. \r\n

\r\n
\r\nSome minutes passed and Vader entered the stage. The mosh pit now started to wake up and everyone was stunned to the sound of these Polish Deathsters. Vader started to play many songs from many past albums but they also played from their last album. Their sound was good although it was a little bit low. The band played till 23.30 with people enjoying it till the last riff. Vader showed again that they are one of the best Polish Metal bands and that they are ready for more. After a big setlist the band finished so the headliners can finish this great night.\r\n

\r\nIt was 10 minutes to midnight when the light were turned off. All Black Metal fans now were at the front and shouting the name of Marduk. The band showed up and the snare drum gave the signal. Marduk started playing and hell brake loose. The mosh pit was on fire and people were headbanging, pushing each other, even giving punches to the photographers. Marduk started playing old and new songs with great power and excellent performance. The vocals of Mortuus were absolute great, full of hate, straight from hell. The sound was good but it was a little bit lower than i expected. The Swedish Blacksters finished the show without any problem and the fans were so excited that many minutes after the show were still in there waiting for some more.

\r\nIt was a great night here at the Sin City club. The night finished without any problems. I saw happy faces, people in sweat smiling and that’s enough. The sound could be better and i think that the problem was due to this backstage area that was at the front-left side. This specific concert was a great prove that times have change a lot. You could see people sleeping in the benches while Vader were shredding, more people were taking photos than headbanging and yes, in the year 2010 you can go to a Marduk concert and see also people with pink hair!! The good thing is that the night finished without problems, fights or any other bad happening and all together
\r\nenjoyed a concert with many different music styles and lot of interesting musicians.\r\n
