\r\nThe Irish band Sandstone has just released its third album, following the “Purging the Past” album (2009).
\r\nTheir music is a successful mixture of Progressive Power and Melodic Power; it is developed in such a way that it even passes the borderline, heading to the Hard Rock field. Most of the songs are pretty cheerful and easy listening, they have strong melodies, memorable choruses. very intense vibes and powerful groove. In general the compositions are based on diversity and that’s a really good attribute; plus they have elements from both the main music gernres that they come from.
\r\nSandstone is a band that has this special music profile, meaning that if you don’t get a listen of the entire album first, you might say that they play this or that. The truth is, on some songs their Hard Rock influences are very obvious. Nevertheless, the album “Cultural Dissonance” has a heavier direction in its entirety music wise, compared to the two previous albums, showing a nice progress for the band since the last endeavor.
