\r\nOTEP are back with a brand new album, which is entitled “Atavist”. \r\nI like a few songs of OTEP but in general this band never appealed to me, neither does it with the release of Atavist, which is their new album. It is intense and groovy, it “outbursts”, it is absolutely brutal and straight to your face, it also has an emotional side (We dream like Lions); however, I think that in total it is a mediocre; nothing new, nothing innovative, on the contrary there’s a boring stability and predictable songs. There‘s no progress for the band, nor does the album take them a step forward. \r\n“Atavist” also includes a cover song for”Not to Touch the Earth” (The Doors), which is almost unrecognizable and sick as well, like the rest of the album.\r\n
