Prosperity Denied - Go For Progress

Prosperity Denied - Go For Progress

\r\n Why does it take so long for me to discover such hidden diamonds god damn it! My eye falls on a promo with a way too minimal and beautiful cover that draws me sooo into it. Black and white with an elegant, simple symbol on it. I say let’s see...has anyone seen my liver?!?!
\r\n
\r\n The austrian dudes reminded me of the way bands like The Red Chord think, which nothing in particular. And that’s the magic of it. They blend hardcore, with grind, thrash and death metal so EASY and they’re actually making fun with it. Kick ass! You’ll hear a song begining in a typical hardcore way, with the classic groove and all only to be followed by a fabulous destructive blastbeat! The man behind the drumkit can surely hit and has a damn good perception on music, I credit him for that! The album kicks in strongly with A Cumshot of Realiy(gotta love the title!) and whenever it lets a gasp of air in(it never does) you’re left asking for more. A destructive force!

\r\n Lots of cool ideas come from the axemasters too. They dress up the songs in every way possible giving strength, variety and fury. The only thing that didn’t quite settle within me(purely a matter of taste) is those choking hardcore vocals as I prefere the screaming ones. Either way, Prosperity Denied know how to break the silence throwing grenades in a church’s bell. If you dig blasting and cool dynamics, violence and moshing, this is your medicine.

\r\n I also loved their lyrical aspect, dealing with every day life and such, given through a humourus perspective more than often. This gives them a grinding aesthetic, daily struggles are honoured like grindcore acts do. Whoever decides to invest in this should know that this is their second album. Be sure to look for their previous stuff. God knows what massacre is being held in there too...\r\n
