\r\nThere has been a while since I’ve heard a grindcore release that really hit me in the face. Altar of Giallo is a Spanish gore/death metal band and their release "A Bloodfeast For the Dead" features 12 killer tracks of genuine, forceful, old school grind/death metal. Amazing sound, incredibly heavy, unbelievable, torturing, thick, and absolutely convincing. Their groove is based mostly on the killer catchy riffs with down-tuned guitars and the fact that they are using a drum machine doesn’t spoil the final effect at all. The songs don’t lack the blasting parts but there are also quite a few almost doom-like moments with some really profound and intense, creepy midtempo parts. Inspired from the classic terror films and the Italian cinema (Giallo), Altar Of Giallo manage to create a bloody, horror, gorish atmosphere that fans of Autopsy, Repulsion, early Grave, early Entombed, early Dismember will be thrilled to listen to and torture some beloved neighbours with!!!
