\r\nBritish band Colt.44 released their debute album , called - One Horse Town - , but i think theres no metalhead out there that is going to buy it. The band plays a mix of Rock/Grunge with some Nu-Metal elements and a little dose of Punk/Rock and their first album is in these type of music levels.\r\n

\r\nThe album though is nice and very easy for listening. They have a lot of ideas and they do like to sing. The vocals are loud and clear and there are also additional back vockals by the other members of the group. The guitars are nice with Rock/Grunge sound, simple catchy riffs and simple solos. The bass is folowing the beat of the drums with heavy sound and the drummer is supporting the songs with clean beats , punk-rock drumming and some percussion. The production is good but it could have been better and the same goes for the simple artwork that shows only the logo of the band.\r\n

\r\nI am not the correct person to speak about Rock and Grunge but i can ensure you that this release has nothing to do with Metal. These three youngsters made a nice Rock/Grunge album that many Rockers out there will enjoy to hear but i am pretty sure that if they play in front of a Metal audience, the most metalheads would think to find a real Colt.44 and shoot them down the stage!! Dont be fooled by their influences that you can see in their myspace page that includes bands such as : Killswitch Engage and Dream Theatre. They may listen to these bands but they are totally in another dimention.More simple , more Grungie, heavy down-tuned guitars , classical type solos and a lot of singing. Grunge-Rockers give them a try ,metalheads stay away!\r\n
