Death Wolf - Death Wolf
Death Wolf - Death Wolf
\r\nDeath Wolf are a band formed back in 2000 and they play a mixture of rock/black metal/punk and a few other genres, you’ll get what I’m talking about only by listening to the album. So as I said, the band was formed about 10 years ago under the name of "Devil’s Whorehouse" from Marduk’s Morgan(Evil). After two albums and two e.p’s they decide to change name and page.

\r\nThe new album entitled "Death Wolf" is out in 2011 and brings division. We’re talking about experienced musicians with a history on their backs, musicians that have offered a lot to the scene but at the same time, my opinion is that this album is nothing but mediocre.
\r\nPersonally I find that in 2011, Death Wolf doesn’t say much.
\r\nI was neutral listening to this album as I hadn’t even realised the band’s change of name.
\r\nFrom there on, listening to the album confused me with it’s compositional anomalies and left me with a taste of "just ok" when it comes to the summation that’s called a record.
\r\nNo pioneering, but that wouldn’t say much if there were any strong compositions present. (which there aren’t) And when you attempt to play "old" music there should at least be a somewhat powerful composition.
\r\nYou see, I heard Misfits, I heard a little of black metal, rock forms and of course, as it’s obvious to anyone who listens to this album, a huge reference to Danzig.
\r\n
\r\nI got kinda bored, kinda disappointed and the only thing that saved it were details such as a decent production, good playing, a few good ideas and the fact that these guys have been around for a while. If it wasn’t for these "details" we’d be talking about one of the rock-bottom albums of today’s music.\r\n
