Doro - Fear No Evil

\r\nI don’t think that there’s anyone out there who haven’t heard of Doro Pesch. For those who might not know her I will say that Doro is simply the ultimate Metal Queen. This lady (or legend more likely) is celebrating her 25 years in the metal scene. For 25 years she delivers pure rock and heavy metal either with Warlock,at the beginning of her career, or with her solo albums. So what better way there is to celebrate this anniversary than the release of this album.
\r\nHonestly after the awesome “warrior soul” I wasn’t expecting something better from her, but “Fear no evil” proved me wrong. This album is like a collection of the best Warlock and Doro songs!
\r\nThe compositions have their own character and are very well worked. While the choruses will easily stuck on your mind from the very first time you’ll listen to the songs. This is because, as I said before, Doro managed to write some really cool songs that make this album sound pleasant. To the final result I think the crystal clear production plays an important role too.
\r\nAs far as for the music, “Fear no evil” is no less than a perfect sample of pure Heavy metal. The awesome guitar riffs that made Warlock and Doro well known to the audience are here, while the amazing solos and choruses present themselves throughout the album. Doro’s distinctive singing justifies once more why she is called Metal queen. Her voice sounds so fresh that makes you wonder if "Force Majeure" was recorded last year.
\r\nIn this album you won’t find any fillers or average songs, but I would like to point out the exceptional “walking with the angels” in which Doro sings along with Tarja Turunen performing one of the best duets I’ve ever heard.
\r\nGenerally “Fear no evil” sounds like a back-to-the-roots album but Doro is not living in the past, she’s not dreaming of the glorious days. She’s moving on, and this album is the living proof that she’s not done yet. On the contrary she’s got much more to offer to our music.
