Faith factor - Against a darkened sky

\r\nIt’s a fact that in order to promote a cd, sometimes there are some exaggerations or inaccurate descriptions. But we should not overstep the boundaries. The cd is supposed to appeal to Crimson Glory, Queensryche, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden fans and the singer is supposed to be influenced by Midnight, Tate, Lance King, Dio, Bruce Dickinson. No way, guys. The music style of the album is epic/heavy power and the vocals remind of another place and time, somewhere in the middle 80’s till the early 90’s. Even if it was released back then, though, except for some breaks and fillings on the bass which make the difference, I don’t think that anyone could claim that there’s any progressive orientation, in contrast to what their bio says. In addition, the mixing is just on an unacceptable level as you can ’t hear any of the instruments clearly. This, of course, is just unfair as you can not listen to the songs at all. On the other hand, I don’t want to be unfair too, so I have to say that the compositions are not bad, yet I can’t make it more clear, the cd is beyond being retro. So classical and with a sound quality which is as if it comes from the bottom of a well or something. Maybe with a better production…
\r\nDespite of all these conditions, I managed to pick a song that I like a lot which is called “Light Replaces Darkness”. Pretty interesting composition. \r\n
