Fallen Angels - Rise From Ashes

Fallen Angels - Rise From Ashes

Fallen Angel is an U.S. based outfit that recently released their debut album via  Metal On Metal records (Heathendom, Nomad Son). Metal on Metal Records is a label that specializes in releases that reminds of the glorious 80’s raw metal sound.
\r\nSo, Fallen Angels in this release “Rise From Ashes” provides us with a very good sample of  80’s Thrash Metal, heavily inspired by acts like the early Slayer, Dark Angel and in specific parts, Sadus, due too the many technical parts in their compositions.
\r\nThe sound of the guitar parts is pure slayer-ish sound while in specific parts reminds me of the early releases of Death (mostly “Leprosy” album). The many and really sharp riffs of Fallen Angels, along with the technical parts I suppose that are the trademarks of these Americans. At this point I’d like to state that despite the fact that the band sounds technical, their sound has many “guts” and in this part the voice of their vocalist, Brad Kennaugh helps a lot.
\r\nSo if there are any followers of this US thrash metal scene remaining, this release will not pass unnoticed by them.
