Inner Surge - An Offering

\r\nAn Offering is the name of the third album from Canadians, Inner Surge, that apart from confused and drowned into chaos of their influences, are presented to us and enough amateur. With a first glance, the album make us believe that we have to make with something dark and atmospheric thanks to its black and cold artwork. The things however do not have any relation with such a thing. The band tries to combine Progressive sound with Nu Metal outbreaks and Hardcore influences. The result? Chaos and tiredness! An Offering contains 13 tracks, which do not have big differences from each other, while in total the group, has not clarified what precisely it wants to be sounded. There are moments that remind us exclusively Nu Metal groups (and in particular with the ugly way), others that remind us common Hardcore bands and others that they want to be heard Progressive and experimental. Unfortunately, Inner Surge don’t manage something to none of the above casesl, because  each time it appears that there is something missing. The chery in the cake, is the terrible vocals and the mediocre production. Unfortunately Inner Surge need great improvement in order to be heard pleasantly from somebody. \r\n
