The World Alive - Deceiver

The whole metalcore joke I think has already gone too far and The World Alive from the US are the living proof of that. The same old guitar riffs and melodic choruses that we have heard a million times before from a hundred different bands. Nothing new here.
\r\nWell things on the “Deceiver” are a bit like this: Complicated metal riffing, brutal vocals on most parts of the songs while in the choruses the singer switches to melodic and emotional, they throw a bit of a synthesizer sounds here and there just to add more to the already overstuffed compositions add some solos and behold “Deceiver”!
\r\nI am damn sure that these guys have posters of Trivium, Scar Symmetry, Sonic Syndicate, All That Remains along with some other bands hanging on all over their bedrooms.
\r\nSo those of you still interested in the genre just stick to the stuff you already know and the bands you’ve been listening to cause I tell you there’s nothing interesting here. There’s no doubt to the fact that The World Alive are decent musicians having a very good production but there’s no inspiration in this. In a deteriorating music genre such as metalcore, the album “Deceiver” is really no big deal.
