YAK - Iron Flavoured candies

\r\nAfter reading that this band plays experimental metal, the truth is that I was very interested in listening to them. Unfortunately I changed my mind pretty fast, as I got bored almost from the beginning of the album. Crossover stuff, with experimental elements meaning the “playing” in the rhythm section, and metal grind/core passages in the guitars, combined with rap and jazz elements and aggressive vocals, basically. I ‘d say that the term Post-Metal that they use is very accurate, as it’s metal-related based on a more “avant” point of view, as the band itself perceives it. There may be a heavy feeling; however mixing whatever comes to mind doesn’t always bring the best result. The tracks don’t have a uniform structure and this makes them even more tiring. The band expires different rhythmic styles and elements from various musical styles, but in this case I think that the experiment wasn’t that successful afterall. \r\n
