Hellwitch - Syzygial Miscreancy

\r\nI have to admit that I still curse myself for not having listened to this album a couple years ago, but thankfully this re – release helped me to realize the value of the US outfit Hellwitch and I strongly believe that it will help many of you to discover this band after all these years.
\r\nThis is the re-release of the band’s first LP “Syzygial Miscreancy” that has been released in 1990 by Wild Rags Records and it’s all about a diamond of thrash / progressive death metal album of the 90’s. Many influences can be heard by the early Death and some references to Pestilence and Atheist as well to some other thrash / death outfits, like Malevolent Creation and early Deicide. The riffing engine of Hellwitch  is working overtime and their composing abilities and music structure is memorable with raw production and vocals and decide alike solos. This re release despite the whole album (7 tracks) features also the  “Transgressive Sentience” (demo 1986), “Mordirivial Disemanation” (Demo 1987), “Rehearsal Demo” (Rehearshal 1989) plus the track Nosferatu from a rehersal tape in 1984!!!, 12 bonus tracks all performed prior to the “Syzygial Miscreancy” LP!!!. I strongly believe that this is the ULTIMATE re – release and Displeased Records deserves a great “well done”!!!
\r\nIf some of you are still fans of the early 90’s Thrash / Death metal scene with progressive elements just buy this one you wont regret it! My grading is 80% for the album and 90% for the release, so a 85% would be just great.\r\n
