Floating Worlds - Only A Dream Can Kill A Dream

Floating Worlds - Only A Dream Can Kill A Dream

\r\nNewcomers Floating Worlds come from Greece and are the musical child of guitarist Andreas V, managing after not few difficulties to release their debut cd. They cite themselves as to follow the melodic metal/rock and also orchestral/atmospheric path to their musical direction and after listening to “Only A Dream Can Kill A Dream” album, I couldn’t but agree with that. The album consists of 7 tracks plus 1 intro and 1 outro and all I can say is that despite its relatively not long duration (37 mins) manages to portray clearly a band that nonetheless knows where is heading and what musical direction wants to follow. The instrumental tracks are the majority here (4 of them and 3 with vocals) and what can someone notice are the really good melodies and the beautiful way in which the music unfolds throughout the album, going from power metal melodies to distinct progressive bits, while the atmospheric element is always present. I should also mention the really good production that manages to depict the band’s technical abilities. Generally, “Only A Dream Can Kill A Dream” is an overall more than descent debut album of melodic metal which shows that Floating Worlds are to draw our attention in the near future.
