My silent wake - A garland of tears

My silent wake - A garland of tears

\r\nMy Silent Wake can be found where the wild side of death metal meets the melancholy of doom and the atmosphere of gothic meet. Rising from the ashes of the British Ashen Mortality, these dark figures release their third album after "Shadow of Sorrow" and "The Anatomy of Melancholy".The album is really far from what is called extreme, despite of the obvious tension to approach it.
\r\nThe diversity of their music is a result of using folk elements perfectly combined with their basic orientation, doom/death that is, while their gothic aesthetics and their quest for a more progressive direction lead to a style that reminds of various music genres, yet it doesn’t belong to any of them. Darky and heavy riffing and sad melodies that remind of Katatonia, Paradise Lost, Opeth, My Dying Bride and the relative, slow tempo, nice atmospheric passages and a playing between brutal and clean vocals, definitely they send many gloomy vibes altogether.
\r\nIf someone listens to the album many times from the first song to the last, he will understand better all its special features and will be able to find more of its beauty. It’s not an “easy” case. \r\n
