Οι Heavy Pettin σχηματίστηκαν στη Γλασκώβη το 1981 από τρία πρώην μέλη των Weeper — τον κιθαρίστα Gordon Bonnar, τον μπασίστα Brian Waugh και τον ντράμερ Gary Moat. Acclaimed singer-songwriter Michael Sweet, best known as the frontman for the multi-platinum rock band Stryper, recently released his new single “Again” – the third single from his new solo album, The Master Plan. “We’ve all lost someone,” says Sweet about the new single. “We all feel pain from that loss. I wrote this song to help people to heal.”
Having made their back catalog available to a wider public via High Roller Records, Mexican speed and thrash metal force Phantom will release their third full-length assault Not Midnight Yet via the label. Recorded and mixed once again with Héctor “Northen” Ibarra at Nehtron Studios in Guadalajara and mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony in Germany, this new album captures the band at their most technical and dynamic.
Iconic Bay Area thrashers Testament have shared an official mini-documentary from the first show of the U.S. leg of their 2026 Thrash Of The Titans World Tour. The trek, which began on March 14 in Portland, Oregon and concluded on April 10 in Berkeley, California, featured Testament headlining all dates with support from Overkill and Destruction.
Metal legends Savatage made theit long-awaited comeback in 2025, and have announced European tour dates for the summer. Speaking with the Face The Music Podcast, guitarist Chris Caffery discussed the band’s return and future plans. Check out the interview below.

Overkill frontman Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth recently spoke with Finland's Chaoszine about his journey as a metal vocalist.
For over three and a half decades Overkill‘s bottom line crazy method of thrash has produced some of the most significant moments in the world of metal. Now in the latter half of their career, the New Jersey thrash metal veterans show all their experience with “Scorched” sounding more mature, refined, and embellished with hints of more than just thrash metal.
Former Accept bassist Peter Baltes opened up about his departure from the German metal legends in 2018 in an interview with Dr. Music citing unhappiness and finding out he was a hired gun when Accept reformed in 2009.
Baltes: “I was extremely unhappy and I found out a few things. I had been with the band forever and I found in the end, in this incarnation of the band, I wasn’t even a member, but a hired gun.
