Dark Fortress - Eidolon

\r\nDark Fortress from Germany with the release of Séance proved that they can manage many things. With Eidolon therefore, they proved that not only they managed perfectly in the extreme sound but they can achieve more and as the years passing by, they are developing, improving and becoming mature. Eidolon, is a concept album that is based on the Greek word "idol" and in this, Dark Fortress unfolds all their talent, the magic and the uniqueness that they have. The album contains 9 tracks and I found it impossible to distinguish one as best. It is an album which is bonded so much in atmosphere and also in brutality. The music that we hear if Black Metal for sure, but we meet here a more personal approach of the band. With this, I mean that Eidolon is ideal and for those who like to hear "cold" Black listening, but also for those who are fond of symphonic/melodic Black listening.The tracks are melodic, while at the same time they exhale terrible anger. The speeds are primarily gone up, without this means that do not exist mid tempo points. Fortunately for us, they exist and in particular they are created in such a way that when we hear them, we shudder. What impresses is the amazing sound and you can hear easily even the least detail, while the volume is one of the strongest characteristics of the band. The new singer of Dark Fortress, Morean, appears that it he can cope comfortably with the needs of the band and if we judge from this album, he has absolutely entered in their mentality and has put his soul in order to have this result.The only thing that remains is to see his performance it the tracks that before some months they were sung from Azathoth. Finally, we must say that in a track of the album, Baphomet, participates Tom Gabriel Fischer from Celtic Frost, a thing that does not make us no impression due to the fact the guitarist of the band, V. Santura, is the session guitarist of Celtic Frost in their live appearances. Eidolon is an album of well played Black Metal. Far from that , each one sees it according to his own view. For some it is extreme, for others is melodic. In any case it is a qualitative and unique album and only thing that still remains is to hear the tracks of the album live on stage on 6 April in Underworld Club.
