Jorn - Live In America

\r\nRecorded on September the 16th, 2006 in Atlanta, during ProgPower VII festival, “Live in America” gives us the picture from this gig, as we already had a taste through the double cd that came out before this release. Jorn, with his so elegant Rock ‘N’ Roll image, merely magnetizes you without having to walk miles and miles upon the stage. However the (cameras) direction is not that good. The shots change very slowly and ruin the whole “concert” feeling. The group ‘s performance is very good, and so is the production.. if only there was more “nerve” direction wise, everything would be much better. The set-list also includes cover- songs that some of the most important voices have sung in the past. Jorn doesn’t allow any doubt in such cases, so he gives us great moments, like for instance when he sings the songs “Straight Through The Heart” and “Perfect Strangers” which are just superb in my opinion.  At the end of the dvd there’s a medley of Whitesnake songs, perhaps some of the most beloved ones. Very good choices even for the most demanding fan. What’s missing, though, is the bonus tracks as well as the vibes from the audience. When we deal with a dvd, having this “something more” is a necessity. On the other hand, some will keep on wishing for such a gig to take place in their country too, by all means..  \r\n
