Band leader Andreas Nergård explains why he chose to cover this particular song:
"The Death Rides" is the first digital single / video taken from heavy speed metal merchants Redshark´s forthcoming debut album, Digital Race. The lyrical theme is inspired by death and the emotional ride that leads people to choose euthanasia.
This song is dedicated in the memory of a Spanish writer called Ramón Sampedro.

Fredrik Johansson, former guitarist for Swedish melodic death metal pioneers, Dark Tranquillity, has passed away following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Dark Tranquillity vocalist, Mikael Stanne, shared the sad news and paid tribute with the following message:

"Fredrik Johansson passed away on January 25th after a three-year long battle with cancer...
