Vocalist Stu Block has announced his permanent return to his pre-ICED EARTH band INTO ETERNITY.
Block, who left INTO ETERNITY in 2011 and was replaced by Amanda Kiernan, broke the news of his official reunion with his former bandmates two days after he performed live with them at the Loud As Hell festival in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada (see video below).
Veteran Northern California rockers TESLA will release a brand new single, "Cold Blue Steel", on August 27. In a new interview with Rob Rush Radio, guitarist Frank Hannon told described the track, which he co-wrote with singer Jeff Keith, as "a very real-sounding rock and roll new song. It's influenced by [late LYNYRD SKYNYRD singer] Ronnie Van Zant.
Quiet Riot is set to welcome Rudy Sarzo back into the band after an 18-year absence. Rudy was one of the original founding members of the legendary Metal Health lineup. He played bass on the Metal Health album, which sold over ten million copies and spawned the hits "Cum On Feel The Noize" and "Metal Health" and on the follow-up record Condition Critical.

This really cool photographer that we met called what's his name again? Mark Weiss. That's right, one of my very best buddies and he shot he shot the cover for Night Songs for us and it was a shot in the historic district of Philadelphia, which is where we were from and I believe that structure we were standing in was called Head House Square. But the most interesting thing that I remember about that shoot was the album was called night songs and Mark scheduled to shoot for daytime. And I kept saying to him that's not gonna look right .
King Kobra was founded by drummer Carmine Appice, the band consisted of four relatively unknown musicians: vocalist Mark Free, guitarist David Michael-Philips, guitarist Mick Sweda, and bassist Johnny Rod. After two albums on Capitol Records, Ready to Strike (1985), Thrill of a Lifetime (1986), and the independent release King Kobra III in 1988 they disbanded until returning in 2010 with Paul Shortino (Rough Cut) taking over vocal duties.
