Well, Since Black Widow send us a couple of months ago some releases of their catalogue, and since the Italian outfit Abysmal Grief is one of ma favorite bands out there, I hope that you wont mind if I review a 2009 release.
Every single release from the US based outfit Evoken is without any doubt a claustrophobic, black hearted and “rotten” experience. So their new release as a split CD with Death / Doomsters Beneath the Frozen Soil from Sweden.
\r\nThe first four tracks are by Evoken and as usual they deliver 4 masterpieces of pure funeral doom, chaotic, heavy and with such a unique atmosphere
Black Land is an Italian outfit and “Extreme Heavy Psych” is their second full length release. I strongly believe that if someone take a quik look at the cover artwork, album title and record label will easily come to the conclusion of what these guys are playing in their albums.
Although 2010 is coming to its end, some fantastic new releases keep on coming “torturing” our doomed ears.
\r\nUsually, when it comes to musicians of such level, people presume that its all about solos and extended guitar parts just to show off, rather that playing music.
\r\nTheodore Ziras is far away from this behavior. There ‘s no need for introduction or any kind of proof in his case anyway; his work throughout the years has established him as one of the top guitarists coming from Hellas, so the value of his music is self-proved.
\r\nTHE NEW ALBUM IS HERE\r\n

\r\nLegendary Dutch Deathsters, -Sinister- are here with their ninth full length album. A great Death Metal album full of new ideas and new great brutal songs that are going to be worshiped by their fans!\r\n
You may not be aware of it but Tarantula is one of the oldest and quite famous bands from Portugal, serving the genre of Heavy/Power metal for almost 20 years now. With the release of their 8th studio album “Spiral Of Fear” they don’t seem to change their long followed course. In fact what we’ve got here is another interesting release yet less powerful than their previews album called “Metalmorphosis” which was full of clichés but yet overflowing with melody and power!
Well Cypecore proves to be a very interesting case. They hail from Germany leaving their own mark in melodic death/Thrash metal with their second album bearing the most up to date title “Take The Consequence”! Though they are quite recently formed (2006) they sound pretty solid and determined on the course they follow.
\r\nThese Norwegiens have a real drama haunting their backs. Coming from the ashes of Windir when they lost their vocalist by a snowstorm(hypothermia!!) the project went on as Veird since the deceased was a founding member. But enough with history lessons. This is their fourth album to date and the first time I come to direct contact with their tunes.

\r\nSiege of Amida label has drawn some attention due to its roster of modern death metal bands that show significant interest. After Job For A Cowboy’s debut a few years ago there have been quite a few acts playing alike creating another "mass" of a new genre. Surely a usual phenomena but utterly, the top of the cream is what remains.
