Treponem Pal is a big chapter in the French music scene. They were born in 1986 but untill recently they remained inactive. Weird Machine is their new album which marks their new beginning, as Treponem Pal are back again and they offer us a strange mixture of influences from many different musical forms. BUt is the result satisfying or not? Personally I didn’t expect much more from the band. Their previous albums had shown which their abilities were and up to where they could reach. Weird Machine isn’t that impressive nor is there anything exciting in it.
\r\nSickening is another brutal death metal band only this time from Florence, Italy. In their music typically the riffs are predominant with an elaborate alternation of rhythms from fast tremolo picking to slow chugging passages and heavy bass guitar with full distortion and the thick palm muting that blends with the drums to create a blunt sound that pervades throughout the entire record.
It took eleven years of waiting to have a new studio album from the legendary hard rockers, Whitesnake. The question of every one of us is if this album is worth for eleven years of waiting. So this is what I m going to analyze below.
\r\nFirst of all, any of you that have believed that Whitesnake will return to their primitive 70’s sound, unfortunately you will be disappointed. As for the others that have believed that the new album would sound closer to the “1987” and “Slip of the Tongue” are so close to what the “Good To Be Bad” album is.
\r\nFifth album from German Debauchery that if we judge from the name of the album and its cover, they continue what they began certain years ago. Continue To Kill is not an album that will change the data of extreme sound, neither is an album that will be loved to a great extent. It is ideal however for those who want to hear something that partly contains fun, partly Rock n Roll and of course Death Metal.
\r\nI do not know much about Distrust and in order to be honest I wouldn’t want to search more about them, because I consider this to be a waste of time. The band comes from Singapore and their music is a mixture of Hardcore and Thrash Metal. Everything in this album regarding the compositions, the vocals, the production and the sound do not even touch the mediocrity and what characterizes album is monotony, dullness and indifference.
\r\nSame story…The British Power Quest release their new album on behalf of Napalm Records which is named Master Of Illusion. Everything into this album is predictable and usual and personally I did not find something that could draw my attention. What we heard in their previous albums, we hear also and here, without any improvement and without any development. Melodic Power Metal with their basic influences Stratovarius, Rhapsody, Freedom Call etc.

\r\nHate Squad celebrate their 15 years of existence with the album Deguello Wartunes, which is not some kind of collection, but is their new album. Personally I could not never take seriously the Germans, firstly because their name does not make me any sense and secondly, because in the 4 previous albums that they have released, the only that we hear is riffs that are being played on and on and they do not have something to offer to us.
Ekotren were formed in 2000 in Florida and Light The Fire is their new album. In order to be sincere i was ignoring their existence but i am not the biggest fan of Metalcore. Light The Fire therefore, is a modern album that apart from his Metalcore roots has also a lot of elements from that called Alternative Metal while some influences from Nu Metal don’t missing. Typical stuff. What I liked in this band is the amazing sound which is characterized by the volume and the distinct instruments in the songs.
\r\nMalodorous is a band that features typical slam death metal with all the grooves, heavy breakdowns and spastic blasts, and of course the extremely low, guttural vocals. At times the sound gains a really abysmal noise with heavy, thick yet simple and downtuned tremolo riffs, a drum machine that occasionally is set on ultra fast, distorted bass, and completely indecipherable ultra-low growls. This is such a one dimensional music with a primitive brutality that’s genuinely menacing and the songs are mostly midpaced and groovy with a really muddy sound.
