The Birthday Massacre from Toronto, come back with the new, third in row, complete release which is called Walking With Strangers. The band has nothing that would catch our attention by it’s first hearing. It’s melodic and mainstream, music which is based on on the many dark/Gothic paths while the industrial aspects also play their part on the album. All this is combined with a modern Alternative touch and the result are 12 equally worth songs that I personally found flat, with no exquisite moments in them or anything like that.
\r\nThrowdown since their 2005 last album "Vendetta" return with the new release "Venom & Tears". Having walked away from the hardcore rapture of their first albums, Throwdown move themselves even more towards metal something that they had already expanded on "Vendetta". The new album once more crossbreeds the thrash-influenced old school hardcore with the modern metalcore providing a link between metal and hardcore.

\r\nWaldemar Sorychta isn’t definitely by any means an unknown figure to the metal world. Apart from his capacity as a producer and songwriter for bands such as Lacuna Coil, Moonspell, Therion and so on his name is equally familiar from his participation in the bands Despair, Voodocult and above all Grip Inc. (feat. the mighty Dave Lombardo).
Another little band of the lot which is attempting to take it’s first steps into this chaos we call ’’music industry’’. Manzana come from Finland and Nothing As Whole As A Broken Heart is their debut album. The band tries combining different genres, not only from the extreme sound, since as the band states, we also hear a Grunge clue to it. The impression I was given on this particular band, is that they are full of themselves, a fact we conclude to based on their bio and on the details we find on their myspace page.
\r\nThere are times when talk\r\nis cheap. So let’s stay to the essence as far as HATE are concerned and let’s\r\ncut the unnecessary chit chat. Morphosis is the 5th full length\r\nalbum of the band and it’s definitely a good chance to educate ourselves. Here\r\nwe find well played well bonded “Polish” Death Metal in the vein of Vader, Crionics etc. It is full of energy, hate but also feeling even though it’s rough\r\nin it’s nature.
\r\nThis record really made me\r\nthink. I liked almost all songs, but, on the other hand the only thing we can\r\nfind here is a copycat of Children Of Bodom and\r\nspecifically the era of Hate\r\nCrew Deathroll and Are You Dead Yet? Made Of Hate come\r\nfrom Poland\r\nand Bullet In Your Head is their debut album through AFM Records.
\r\nThis is the third release for the German Noekk who have a common characteristic with Empyrium and The Vision Bleak. And that characteristic is Mr Schwadorf (who is under the name F.F. Yugoth here). I am going to cut right into the chase. Noekk is a band someone can fixate and adore or hate. Unfortunately for me I am with the second group. Within the 35 minutes that the record I couldn’t find one thing that would draw my attention or excitement at least. The album The Minstrel’s Curse includes 4 tracks which last long.
