\r\nAxegressor comes from Turku of Finland and were created in 2006. The particular E.P. - that is entitled Axecution- constitutes their first official record work (they have released in 2007 a Demo with the same songs).
\r\n"Pathways to Catharsis" is the third full length album from the Germans Dead Emotions which also features a new singer in the lineup. At first judging by the name I thought I had to deal with a gothic metal band here and even the bizarre intro of the album can really mislead someone about the musical direction of this album. Yet the truth is a completely different matter. \r\n
\r\nFor sure, when it is heard that a group comes from Turkey, a country that has not got used us in "strong" releases, what we feel at first us surprise and interest in order to hear the specific album. Altona since the Demo, Alarm Of The End, that had released in 1999, they didn’t bother us with other release. The homonym album Altona releases from Atlantis Müzik and constitutes the first full-length album, which contains 7 songs that with difficulty reach 31 minutes.
\r\nThe Corpse of Rebirth is the name of the debut album from A Forest Of Stars, that are characterized as psychedelic Black Metal. The specific release of the British band, contains five songs which - as it usually happens in such kind of albums- are characterized by their big duration.
\r\nDawn Of Demise is a five-membered death metal band that hails us from Denmark. "Hate Takes Its Form" is their debut album on Deepsend Records, mixed and mastered by Mr. Jacob Hansen at Jacob Hansen Studios.
\r\nKrossbreed exists as a band from 2003 and since then they have some releases with the latest one, the “Carved In Stone” EP / MCD.
\r\nFrom the first listening and while the first track of the release “Legacy” comes on, I assumed that this is a thrash metal band but more down tempo, but after a couple o minutes some metal core influences came up, element that seems to be not bad, because it fits well with the whole music of Belgians.
\r\nIn this case as you all see we are dealing with a split cd with 3 bands from Japan’s Tokyo. Anatomia is a new band formed in 2002 with ex-members of the cult japanese death/doom band Transgressor! They play a devastating death/doom with deep guttural vocals straight from the pits of hell and a slow crushing riffage into 5 tracks that all possess a unique annihilative power either with their slithering doom or with their evil sound in the vein of mighty Incantation! Tremendous, outstanding, evil and creepy to the core!! \r\n
\r\nWhen you have grown with groups as Slayer, Exodus, Nuclear Assault, Atrophy, Paradox and other similar groups that simply defined Thrash Metal, then you set the standards really high and you have "requirements" from all kinds new group that comes out and calls it’s music: thrash metal... to honour the title of this metal genre. \r\n
What could anyone say about Meshuggah? Things are very simple: whoever likes smart extreme music just bows before them. Whoever has a taste and knowledge, just totally respects them.

\r\nThe interest regarding any new Meshuggah release is to see what new grounds the band will explore, because no one can predict the direction that they will discover – and not follow- without listening to their new album.

\r\nDouble live cd from Magnum, recorded during November 2007 and just for the record, the second cd contains the live version of the “Wings of Heaven” album, and the track “Sacred Hour” as an encore, while the rest of the songs of the set list are just fine and can both “attract” and “teach” a small part of this band’s history, to those who may not be aware of what the name “Magnum” means, despite of the fact that their career goes many years back in time.
