Xerath came to us from England and they are a new band as they formed in 2007, pointing to a progressive death metal in a more orchestral way. Unfortunately most bands offer lots of laugh cause they try to play some complicated music, with extra instruments and classical music opinions but they lack of fantasy and musical capabilities, resulting to mediocrity and blackening the bands’ course in time.

\r\nHow much death metal could evolve and develope its sound is something noone could have predicted back in the early ’90s. After all the classic bands like Deicide and Cannibal Corpse, we had the more melodic acts, brutal death metal, grind/death, guttural revolutions and so on. All those and even more subgenres showed the open minds of the extreme musicians. And just when you thought all has been played and everyone nowadays walks on paths that have been walked before, bands like Cerebral Bore come to bewilder you.
\r\nAenaon are, from now on, something more than a underestimated force. My first contact with their music was with the "Phenomenon" mini cd two years ago, when I was impressed with the songs and their ability to compose with a clearly independed thought. So, after a 7 inch split album with Satanochio I see them returning with their very first full length. Man, that brought a big smile across my face!

\r\nThe album is great and there are a lot of nice songs that mixes Death and Rock/Metal perfectly. Nice Death n Roll guitars, heavy bass, great drumming and a very good voice. The production is great and the whole album sounds very good. \r\n
\r\n Requiem have been killing humans with their music for the last 10 years using the like father like son way(oldschool!). But unlike kick ass bands like Vomitory who indulge themselves in the same sport, they do not touch the level of the beloved Swedes. This is their fifth full length album(an EP has been released too) and it finds them dwelling on the same floors, more or less. This stagnation is not all that bad to be honest since the band is indeed a dissent act with balls of concrete.

\r\nDenmark is a country I deeply respect, regardless the type of music exported each time. The musicians hailing from Denmark seem to know all about composing a good song, wether it’s death metal or a pop song. In the case of Essence, it’s all about thrash metal delivered in up tempo mood and a good taste for tasty, analogue sound! In fact, this is something the band is proud enough to mention in the booklet of their cd...

That’s exactly what I call an AWESOME release! Vicious Rumors are back from the dead with an album that’s far from any expectation! I don’t know what’s going on with the “old guard” lately but I think that they have conspired to blow our brains! “Razorback Killers” is simply their best release in the last 20 years since their last masterpiece was, in my opinion, “Welcome To The Ball” (1991) while after Carl Albert’s death in 1995 the band managed to release some average though slightly indifferent albums.
\r\nPagan’s Mind are back with their fifth studio album, “Heavenly Ecstasy”, a title which is very much related to the happy mood of the songs and the “paradise” aura that surrounds them. The band seems to keep a distance from the Progressive Power Metal style of their previous work; “Heavenly Ecstasy” is more straightforward Euro Power Metal, yet with strong Progressive Power Metal touches.
\r\nOTEP are back with a brand new album, which is entitled “Atavist”.
