\r\nThey haven’t released one bad album and I wouldn’t expect them to start doing so now.
\r\nAfter the overwhelming "The Gathering Wilderness"(2005) and "To the Nameless Dead"(2007), one would expect it just can’t get any better with these dudes, but the Irish Primordial make a dynamic comeback with their 7th album, "Redemption at the Puritan’s Hand". Not only do they prove that they have not fizzled out after their previous top releases, but their music has continuously matured, giving us great compositions.

\r\nSometimes the most bizzare the case of a band, the better stuff you’ll get in the end. The unknown is always an interesting place to find the good stuff my grandpa used to say(no, he never did really). Winterus hail from the US though the music they play is more european-oriented. They signed with Lifeforce Records so now they have the chance to promote their tunes even further. So, I concider myself lucky enough to have discovered them even this way.

\r\n I never understood what purpose bands like Asking Alexandria serve. To put it better: why do they send their promos to metalzines for reviews. I mean, cummon, really? The outcome is predetermined either way. Music videos will come out so that the 13 year olds will be impressed by the tattoos and stupid haircuts, the charts will be conquered once again and the forthcoming success is iminent.

\r\nArbalest come from Austria and have been together as a band no longer than a year...and their debut is here already. Some would call this a hasty move, perhaps something like a teenager’s impulse. But after listening to their music it becomes obvious that these guys have indeed something to offer, despite their rush.

\r\n I actually never thought I’d see bands whose influences date back only a few years. Through Your Silence(cliche name, I know) try to mix all this melodic deathcore thing with their own sound but they do not manage to stray from the path that much..

Xerath came to us from England and they are a new band as they formed in 2007, pointing to a progressive death metal in a more orchestral way. Unfortunately most bands offer lots of laugh cause they try to play some complicated music, with extra instruments and classical music opinions but they lack of fantasy and musical capabilities, resulting to mediocrity and blackening the bands’ course in time.

\r\nHow much death metal could evolve and develope its sound is something noone could have predicted back in the early ’90s. After all the classic bands like Deicide and Cannibal Corpse, we had the more melodic acts, brutal death metal, grind/death, guttural revolutions and so on. All those and even more subgenres showed the open minds of the extreme musicians. And just when you thought all has been played and everyone nowadays walks on paths that have been walked before, bands like Cerebral Bore come to bewilder you.
