\r\nIf you’d tried to tell to someone 15 years ago that Sweden in the future would be one of the biggest powers in heavy metal he would probably think you were crazy. No one would ever believe that this country would grow strong not only on melodic death metal (for which it was well known) but on hard rock and classic metal as well. Sister Sin come from Sweden and blow our brains out! With their debut album “Switchblade serenades” they deliver classic Heavy metal the way it should be played. Without airs and graces, without long lasting solos and plastic melodies.

ARKENSTONE ARE HERE

\r\nAnother life is a one man band behind which is the guitarist Andreas Karlsson (RIBSPREADER, PAGANIZER), as well as the very well known Mr. Dan Swano who is behind the keyboards and the production of the album and has done a really good work in both sections. Debut album for Another Life, and there is a lot of melody, power rhythms and musical forms with prog extensions. The songs in general are beautiful, with a melancholic feeling and a “journey” sense. All good so far. However what kinda bothered me from the beginning of the album was the flat vocals.

\r\n“Kill the Headlights” came in our hands with a big delay, in fact the album was released in 2007, but I think that, though a bit belated, a presentation of this work is necessary. It is the fourth album of Adema with Bobby Reeves on vocals and Ed Faris as the second guitarist, members of LEVEL both of them. The band reminds a lot of KORN, a fact that derives also from the kinship of the previous singer of the group with Jonathon Davis which was a main reason to relate those bands so far.

Seventh Wonder is a Swedish metal outfit and this year have released their third album “Mercy Falls” through Lion Music
\r\nThe sound of Seventh Wonder can easily be described as Progressive Metal and personally I believe Seventh Wonder is on the best prog metal bands of our time.
