\r\nWhen VADER’s former guitarist, Maurycy "Mauser" Stefanowicz, decided to explore his dark artistic side, he formed the band Unsun and crossed the line from the death metal music fields that used to be a way to express himself, to the gothic ones, showing, this way, a different part of himself and of his musical interests.

\r\nAnother release from the former Helloween singer (Yes, this title will follow him weather he likes it or not!) Michael Kiske. This time he seems to move aside his melodic rock, AOR background as he decides to work with Amanda Somerville, well known from her participations on bands like Kamelot and Avantasia among others, creating a well played but rather mediocre Hard Rock/Metal album (though the term “Metal” sounds too heavy for this one!)

The Australian based Doom metal quartet Rote Mare, after the release of eight demos, decided to release their first “proper” release as an EP entitled “Sorrows Path”.
\r\nThey sound improved in comparison with some early deamos I happened to have already listened to, and their sound is nothing more than traditional doom metal in the vein of Sabbath, Trouble, Saint Vitus and other bands trademarks of the Doom metal sound.

\r\nSecong strike from Salonika’s Terrordrome comes in the form of a split cd and, in my opinion, it establishes them as on of the top forward thinking brutal tech/death metal bands(that was long!). It takes enormous amount of talent to be able to compose songs that are technical and catchy at the same time. Yes, catchy.

\r\nAfter their recent live show in Greece, during Sonisphere festival, where they played some new songs, I was pretty interested in listening to the new Stone Sour album.

\r\nΤhe term "death metal " has been somewhat misunderstood these last years to the point of exploitation. So, you have all those wannabies that want to label their music death metal because it’s cool, macho or because they’re somehow impressed by this whole thing. Mechanical God Creation aren’t exactly that kind of a band but their ultra shinny sound does not indicate a band that feels...

\r\nWhile listening to Tarja Turunen’s new album I had the strange feeling that I was actually watching a movie, something that has to do not so much with music itself, that in most of the parts sounds like a movie soundtrack, but with the variety of the whole album.

\r\nSecond album for Galar, although it’s the first time I come in contact with their music. It’s a folk/black metal band in the vein of old In The Woods, although I stil may be misguiding.. The album is run by a variety of moods, epic guitar melodies but also tunes from natural organs such as cello, viola etc. Tunes that try to redirect the listener from the sepia first impression of its wonderful, minimalistic cover. But do they manage to do so?

\r\nWHEN AN ACID DRINKER GOES SOLO \r\n

\r\n

\r\nEveryone in the Thrash Metal scene and especially in Poland knows very well Titus. He is the singer and  bassist of the Polish Thrash band -Acid Drinkers- and he is in the Metal business many years now. \r\n
