Sleaze/ Glam Hard Rock is a style of music which, nowadays, gains more and more publicity among Rockers. Danger, which were formed in Sweden in 2003, is a band whose music roots are, on groups like Cinderella, Poison, Motley Crue and a bit of Twisted Sister’s and Skid Row’s touch. After their first two ,unsigned, full length cds (”Keep Out” and ”In Control”), which sounded like a mixture of 80/90s metal bands, like Iron Maiden and Helloween, they hired Jesse Kid to handle the mic.
\r\nBefore a year ago the whole idea began as a solo project of Edu Falaschi, singer of Angra, however now things are different and we deal with a “regular” band. Thankfully I have to say, as it’s hard to find a really good album that you will be listening to for more than 2-3 times among so many new album releases.
\r\nShadowkeep. The band that showed up in our musical horizons like a comet a few years ago and caused many “explosions” while joining almost immediately the list with the most beloved groups, merely because they were different. It was the total of this band that made them differ from others. Even though they still remain in the underground circles, I think that they wrongly belong to the obscured metal bands, perhaps due to the wrong conditions, maybe due to the bad promotion.
\r\nThe chances of a veteran band that came about in the 80’s releasing a good (and not just worth listening) album these days keeping it modern and not straying from the original sound are rare.
\r\nThese guys here really made my day and in fact under pretty bad conditions, as the traffic jam in the streets was horrible the day when I picked that cd to accompagnize me while driving. This so much cheerful mood that the Cd gives you was enough to face the situation by almost forgetting what was going on around me.
\r\nWith a better production and mixing I would possibly liked it more. While on one hand it has all that it takes to be included in the very good new album releases, at least concerning their musical style, in many spots there is imbalance between music and vocals, as the second ones cover the other part in an awkward way. Also, so much echo is just unnecessary.
\r\nA quick glance at the guests of the album: Tony Harnell, Doogie White, Carsten Schul and Pamela Moore. Guarantee for a successful recipe? Obviously, even though the band is a small star anyway, without being innovative or something, yet with a very appreciable work.
