The NWOBHM outfit from Thessalonica Greece, under the name Witchcurse released a couple of weeks before some new material. The new release by this unique NWOBHM band from Greece is entitled “Demon’s Warning” and it’s a tape ep!!!
\r\nBeing in a band like SAVATAGE can actually open more doors on one hand, on the other hand, though, people may expect a lot from you music –wise. When you have such a past and you have become widely known by playing in one of the most important metal bands, there are no many excuses when a result is disappointing.
“Score To A New Beginning” is Fairyland’s new album and is exactly what the title implies.
\r\nTruth is that I never bothered listening to their previews works or followed the bands progress during the years since I thought that their Symphonic Metal is overplayed and long gone. Especially when there are bands like Rhapsody or Nightwish (in their latest releases) why should anyone bother listening to these guys?
\r\nWondering if an album is melodic hard rock/metal or melodic progressive metal and not being able to make up my mind till the end of it, is the best way to start my day. I think that they approach both genres, as the compositions are based on melodic hard rock forms and melodic power metal as well, however they are very diverse and keep changing during the songs. Well, I don’t really think that the music genre matters anyway when you actually feel that 10 songs are just not enough and you want some more!

\r\nACID DRINKERS STRIKES AGAINS\r\n \r\n
\r\nPolish Thrash/Crossover band -Acid Drinkers - after 12 full length albums are back again with their thirteenth release , called - Verses of Steel -. The band continues playing their own style with Thrash and Crossover influences and many new modern and fresh ideas.\r\n
This here is the second release of Australia’s Paindivision (their debut was the self-titled released in 2007) which I admit was a bit confusing. Judging by the cover (a bad habit I must say..) with the bloody knuckle dusters and the title “One Path” I first thought “oh well …another Hardcore release” and by listening the opening track “Flames Of The Reaper” I seemed to be right. But things began to change as I continued listening to the album as Paindivision seem to be changing their musical style.
\r\nWhat can I say about this record! I am sure that if I had listened this cd a couple more times the rate would it be higher. But is this the point? Putting yourself in a repeat till drop situation until your brain melts with the sounds Stream Of Passion it surely’s not my goal. What I am talking about is that ‘’The Flame within ‘’ is fine. But nothing special too. Its probably fine for a new metaller who likes Gothic metal with female vocals and never heard anything.
\r\nOnce I listened to the Winter Crescent’s demo, I was enormously\r\nimpressed. "In your face"\r\nprogressive metal, but, and this "but" hides a whole story behind it. \r\nLet us therefore reveal the truth and find out what lies behind it,\r\nstarting....from the cover.
