\r\nLet me start with a brief introduction, for those who do not know  our very own Spitfire… They started back in 1986 as a very promising band, named after the famous British fighter plane of the Second World War, and their first release was “First Attack”.

\r\nI will be honest. I didn’t want to review this album at first place. I thought I’d rather pass it by pretending it was never released. The next thought was “why should I waste my time writing about this one while there are so many bands out there worth listening?” so I left it behind trying to overlook it. But enough is enough and my patience has just ran out.

\r\nThis is another Demo Cd from a Greek band. Well they are not exactly a band. This is a two man project. All music was written by Kimon and Takis. Besides Kimon’s guitars and Takis’s vocals all instruments were programmed. To be honest they made a pretty descent sound and if I didn’t read the bands bio I’d think them as a proper band.

\r\nHeaven & Hell, Black Sabbath in other words, are the definition of the word “Metal” for many of us. Their name totally and absolutely identifies that word. Our favorite music that evolves and changes, but some values are just unchanging. The unfailing credit that they are being given despite of the entrance of more and more elements in the scene from the younger ones, as well as the fact that the pass of time doesn’t affect them at all, are both the evidence that nothing can threaten their “throne”.

The Second full length release by the Thessalonica based outfit Rotting Flesh has been released. Having been a band for 14 years and releasing only 2 albums seems that things haven’t turned out so well for these guys, but the fact is that their second self released album is out and that matters now.

About a year ago, I had the pleasure to be introduced to these Italian guys, under the name Doomenicus, when they had just released their Demo release “Promo 2007”. One year later then, I meet again Doomenicus through their first full length album release, “Sacred”.

\r\nITALIAN HARDCORE\r\n

\r\n

\r\nItalian Hardcore band - Strange Corner - released their new album , called - Human Society- , and the news are good. Despite the fact that they changed their vocalist the band continues shredding and you can hear it in their new work. Hardcore/Punk with political social lyrics and anti-fascists messages.\r\n

This is the debut album from Persona Non Grata. A progressive metal album following the Greek Prog tradition of Wastefall and Fragile Vastness. Even if its against progressive’s definition, you’ll find all the classic progressive elements here. Melodies, piano, keyboards all blending with some very nice song writing. The production is good to.
\r\nDream Theater , Pain of Salvation and Poverty’s No Crime and mainly the sounds that you’ll hear on this cd. All in all it’s a pretty descent work. We do have some problems here though.
