Well, I don’t know if the Swedish death metal scene a la At The Gates , Unanimated etc has become typical, repetitive or you just give this kind of characterizations to this scene, but for me will always remain something unique, that even nowadays several years after its foundation remains something fresh and heavily demonized.
Well, this must be one of the not so many times that a gothic metal album gave me something more to remember than a useless depressive atmosphere.
\r\nOh yes it’s been thirty years plus, since the band was born. Oh, yes this band was born before I was born! How many people don’t know of them or -in the worst case- haven’t ever heard of them?

\r\nSERIAL STONERS \r\n \r\n
\r\nJapaneese Stoner/Doom band - Church of Misery - were formed back in 1995 and they have released so far many EPs, Splits, DVDs and three full length albums.They are back now with their fourth full length album , called - Houses of the Unholy- with some more Stoner Rock tunes and songs about Serial Killers. \r\n

\r\nITALIAN THRASH/DEATH FROM MILAN\r\n \r\n
\r\nItalian band - Methedras - from Milan , were formed back in 1996 and since then they have released only two but great albums.Album after album the bands always pushing their limits and now they are pushing even more with their third official release.\r\n

\r\nITALIAN EMO/METAL \r\n \r\n
\r\nItalian band - Blind Town - are back with their first work released through a lebel. These italians that are mixing Emo , Metal and Hardcore were formed back in 1999 and since then they have released two self-released albums.Now they are back with their new album and a lot of new ideas. \r\n
\r\nTrail of tears changed all their members and here they are with a fresh gothic metal album. Although you won’t sell your house for this one, it surely is an album that delivers what’s promised. Vocally you ‘ll hear the typical female soprano mixed with male death metal vocals. Cathrine is a great singer so the first bet was won for them. The melodies are ok too although some of it, it’s a little typical for my ears. The main reason I would recommend you this cd is the very nice orchestrations and the deathish style of its goth.
The NWOBHM outfit from Thessalonica Greece, under the name Witchcurse released a couple of weeks before some new material. The new release by this unique NWOBHM band from Greece is entitled “Demon’s Warning” and it’s a tape ep!!!
\r\nBeing in a band like SAVATAGE can actually open more doors on one hand, on the other hand, though, people may expect a lot from you music –wise. When you have such a past and you have become widely known by playing in one of the most important metal bands, there are no many excuses when a result is disappointing.
